All roads lead to St Patricks Park on Thursday June 1st as Barntown NS play their Rackard League A Hurling final at 8pm v Piercestown/Murrintown.  Please support!

STRATEGIC PLANNING NIGHT

A club strategic planning night takes place next Thursday the 4th of May at 8.15pm in the clubhouse facilitated by Mícheál Martin (Wexford GAA Co Board Vice Chairman). All adult players, parents, mentors and managers are encouraged to attend to discuss our aims for the next 3-5 years both on and off the pitch. It is so important that people attend and share their thoughts on the clubs future both on and off the field.

MICHAEL LAFFAN MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2017

Our Michael Laffan Memorial Hurling Tournament is back this year but even bigger than before with 20 teams, 40 matches and 360 players!
On Saturday 13th May @ 10am, Glynn Barntown GAA Club is the place to be!

Mini Sevens Final

Hard luck to the gallant boys of Barntown NS beaten by Rathnure school yesterday evening in the INTO Mini Sevens hurling final.
2 goals from Sean Cooney in the first half gave us a decent lead but Rathnure crept back and their point taking was the difference in the end.

U7 & U8 BOYS

U7 & U8 boys are back training on Wednesday evenings 6-7pm and Saturday mornings 10.30-11.30am starting this Wed 29th March.

FÉILE FUNDRAISER!!


Our Féile Committee will hold a  Table Quiz in the clubhouse on Friday 31st March starting at 8pm- Table of 4 @ €20. Please support!

The Minor Football Championship game fixed for Sunday March 26th has been postponed.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OFFICER

Glynn Barntown GAA Club would like to welcome Dermot Rafter on board as our new Health and Well being Officer. Dermot is a Behaviour Support Specialist living in Killurin with strong ties to the club. Dermot has over 25 years experience working on individual support and organisation development with qualifications and competencies in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); Person Centred Practice (PCP); Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA); and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

He is also a trained instructor in non-violent verbal and physical intervention strategies. He has devised many other programmes in the areas of teenage behavioural support; mindfulness; and youth leadership. Dermot is a fantastic new addition to this area in our club and we are thrilled to have somebody of his calibre as part of our team. Dermot can be contacted on 0872879183.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Over 100 club boys, girls, mentors and officers donned the blue and green to march in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Wexford on Friday March 17th along with club Senior heroes Michael Doyle, John Leacy, Pádraig Donnelly and Michael O Regan.  The youngsters were each a credit to their club and great ambassadors for the parish. Féile Coffee Morning

Our First Feile Fundraiser is on Sunday 19th March.
A Coffee Morning will take place at the Clubhouse from 10:30am-12:00pm. Donations of buns and cakes will be greatly appreciated and accepted from 9:45 on the day.
Hoping we will have everyones support as Feile 2017 is a big weekend for our u14 Boys and Girls
